Responsible for performing various imaging procedures, such as X-rays, computed tomography (CT) scans, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), C arm, and fluoroscopy machines . ensure that the patient is positioned correctly and use the appropriate equipment to obtain high-quality images.operate complex radiographic equipment and ensure that it is functioning properly. calibrate and adjust the equipment as needed and report any malfunctions to the appropriate personnel. also maintain records of equipment usage and perform routine maintenance tasks. explain the imaging procedures to patients and address any concerns they may have. position patients correctly and use immobilization devices, as necessary, to ensure accurate imaging. also administer contrast agents, such as dyes, to enhance the visibility of certain body structures during imaging procedures.
ensure that the imaging rooms, equipment, and supplies are clean, well-maintained, and organized. follow infection control protocols and dispose of hazardous materials properly. discuss imaging findings with radiologists and physicians, contribute to patient assessments and treatment plans, and provide additional images or information if needed.
Knowledgable in patient safety and emergency preparedness such as CPR/First aid.
