I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Radiology with a valid license to practice in the Philippines and in Saudi Arabia. However, I obtained the majority of my clinical experience in the latter country. Paramount to safe practice and for continuous professional development, I regularly attended seminars and trainings to keep updated with changes in technology, procedures and more. With my desire to work in the UK, I pursued and successfully secured my registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) last (2022).
I am a compassionate and caring worker, who always endeavours to provide the highest level of service to patients and their families. I always adapt to variety of patients to ensure to create a positive experience. I carry this out by keeping calm, patient and with ‘good bedside manner’. Consequently, I have built a good reputation in my previous job, to the extent where I am requested to perform someone’s examination. Moreover, I set my practice in compliance to the set protocols/guidelines, policies and procedures of the organization to ensure patient and staff safety at all times.
As a member of a team, I maintain good relationships with others, to work collaboratively and efficiently. I am also able to share my knowledge and experience to contribute to patient outcome but also in supporting or mentoring new and junior Radiographers. Hence, I will be happy and privileged to mentor students who will be having placement in the area. All these skills culminate to my willingness and flexibility to work further. I am willing to cover shifts, including at other hospitals within in the organisation, if required for the service.
I will be grateful to take this opportunity to continue my career in Radiography at your NHS Trust, as I think that my experience over the years has built a variety of skills including computer literacy and keyboard skills. Overall, this makes me prepared to tackle anything entailed with this job. That is, to provide a positive experience for patients, work collaboratively and efficiently with the team and support/mentor students. I am also adaptable to this new job, having previously moved to Saudia Arabia. The transition to work in the UK will be easier, as I will have the support and assistance of relatives nearby.
