Currently I am working as a Diagnostic Radiographer in Advantage Imaging and Research Institute, which is a leading advanced tertiary healthcare center in India. In this job I perform MRI, CT, DR, CR, DEXA SCAN. I am regularly rotated throughout these modalities as and when required.
I am competent in performing routine and complex diagnostic radiological procedures in the following modalities.
X-rays: All routine and specialized studies in X-Ray. I have good experience in handling RTA(Road Traffic Accident) patients with the skill of aquiring good quality xrays within a short time. I am working in fixed xray unit . I am also capable of doing Fluroscopic Procedures like Barium Swallow,Barium Enema, ASU,MCU,Barium Meal etc.
CT: I am skilful in CT Coronary Angiogram (Cardiac CT) Scan and Post Processing. I can also perform CT Pulmonary Angiogram, Lowerlimb & Upperlimb Angiogram and Venogram, Aortogram (ECG Gated and Non ECG Gated), Carotid Angiogram, Hepatic Angiogram, Abdominal Angiogram, Renal Angiogram with VRT, 3D reformation, MPR, MIP , Bolus Tracking/Smart Prep Method, Routine scans such as Brain, PNS, Spine, Orbit, Abdomen, Chest, Joints, Extremities, HRCT Temporal Bone & Chest, 4D CT for Parathyroid Scans, Virtual Bronchoscopy, Colonoscopy with 3D reconstruction, CECT Abdomen Triple phase (for Liver) and Dual phase, CT Urogram, Enterography, Cisternogram, Sinogram. I am also expert in doing post processing in syngo.via , Philips EBW and GE ADW which is a multi modality work station for CT Angiograms and other CT Routine CT Scans and MRI.
Interventional Radiology CT Procedures : I am also able to assist radiologist in specialized studies such as CT guided FNAC/Biopsy, RFA( Radiofrequency Ablation), Nerve Block Procedures etc.
MRI: MRI routine studies such as Brain, Spine, Extremities, MRA (angiography) & MRV (Venography) with and without contrast (CE-MR Angiography), MRCP, MRI Abdomen & Pelvis study, DTI, Diffusion with ADC, All MSK Studies and MR Arthrography, MR Elastography of Liver, MR Enterography, MR Urography, MR Perfusion, MR Spectroscopy(Brain and Prostate), Pituitary Study, Orbit, Epilepsy Protocol, Stroke Protocol, Tumor Protocols, Pediatric Imaging, Dynamic Mri Contrast Studies of different body parts, CSF Flow Study at different levels.
I am well proficient in recognizing image artefacts and rectification, 3D, reformation, MPR, MIP.etc In my current place of work, our radiology department performs 150 xrays, 30-35 CT scans, 20-25 MRI scans per day . This vast pool of procedures helps to equip me with skill and expertise to master these key procedures and manage heavy workload and working under pressure without compromising the quality of service and test procedures. The high number of patient turnover help me to learn how to deal with culturally diverse patient population and adapt to their needs and requirements in a professional manner. I have a compassionate approach to understand emotions, behaviors and psycho social needs of people undergoing diagnostic imaging. As a key member of the health care team I take the responsibility of producing high quality images very seriously understanding that treatment is often decided based on the images produced . I enjoy myself having friendly and optimistic personality with effective interpersonal and team-working skills that are crucial to the efficient running of a varied demanding service which is patient centered. I am organized and methodical, which reflects in a good time management and effective work. My clinical and professional experience in different environments and situations, dealing with patients from all age groups and medical conditions, makes me confident and easily adaptable to new work environments, working under pressure or dealing with unexpected challenging situations. I conduct myself in a professional manner, acting in line with the hospital policies and departmental protocols at all time. I am fully capable of handling patients who are anxious and apprehensive. I try to attend continuous professional development programs and radiology conferences to keep up with diverse and rapidly changing career. I keep up to date with all my mandatory training and familiar with hospital emergency codes such as natural disaster, missing patients, trauma care, cardiac arrests/crash calls, etc. I have highest level of technical proficiency, care towards patients and highly developed hand dexterity for fast and accurate positioning and use of sophisticated imaging equipment. I have excellent computer literacy and experience using different equipment and software in the radiology field. I am proficient in using PACS and RIS in proper manner and familiar with IT systems such as RIS, HIS, TELE Radiology, DICOM system etc. I am prompt and accurate in carrying out procedures and reporting to the radiologist.
I am familiar with safe radiographic techniques to reduce radiation risk & MR safety for patients and radiographers by safety protocol. I maintain a good rapport with patients and their families, radiologists, doctors and offer friendly atmosphere with other medical and clerical staffs. I have great level of fitness and flexibility to work extra hours when required to deliver the clinical needs of the department and I also possess high level of concentration and focus towards the work for prolonged working hours. My positive personality has allowed me to handle uncomfortable situations at work in a calm, collected manner, for instance dealing successfully with any types of patients. I have best interpersonal and communication skills, which have been developed through working with people of different levels. My ability to speak multiple languages and communicate effectively with people of all ages helps me to fulfill the requirements of the job further. I enjoy interacting with others and can work well under considerable pressure. I am very good when it comes to co-operating with others and this will be important when working in a multi-professional environment in hospitals. I support my team by demonstrating compassion through effective relationships based on empathy, respect and dignity. When it comes to specialized procedures I always volunteer to assist and learn such a guided procedures. I am aware of ten-day rule and 28-day rule, blood spillage policy and mercury spillage policy. I am always mindful and efficient in giving special care for dealing with stroke and spine injury patients and cord compression studies.
