I am HCPC Registered radiographer with 6 Years of experience in MRI and total 10 Years of experience in Radio Diagnosis including CT,DR,CR,MAMMOGRAPHY,C-ARM,PORTABLE XRAY,OPG,DEXA,FLOUROSCOPY,PACS.I am aware of the duties and responsibilities that are held on me. I got the opportunity to work in INDIA( my native place) and also abroad. There by I got the chance to interact with patients of different culture and behavior. I have good understanding about health and safety Radiation protection including MHRA and IRR requirements to keep exposure to ionizing radiation as low as reasonably practicable also aware about dose limit . I worked in a multispecialty hospital specially for Trauma, pediatrics, gynecology etc. Excellent communication and negotiating skills. and able to work as part of team as well as

My Main tasks and responsibilities Cardiac Cath lab, Interventional Radiology, CT Scan, Emergency and General X-Ray.
Conducting emergency and other imaging exams as needed. Collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely imaging results.
As a Radiographer I will know where all the equipment the Radiologist might need, is and how to open them so they stay clean.
In this role, I often ensures that the radiation used is safely monitored and moves the equipment while the Radiologist is scrubbed in sterile gloves and gown. getting equipment and documenting important information also becomes part of my responsibility.
As a Radiographer I will also ensure that important information is recorded after the operation, including all the images they have saved throughout. Etc. |

I am also in charge of the procurement of medical equipment for the department, taking notes of member of staffs complaints, liaison with radiologists about such concerns and radiographic procedures.

I have over 2.5year of working experience. This is a 150 bedded Multi Specialty General Hospital where the Radiology department is equipped with a GE 32 slice CT scanner,Siemens
Magnetom Symphony 1.5T MRI, Siemens 450 xray unit, Allengers HF.49 C-arm, and a GE mobile Xray unit.
In my current role as a Radiographer, I have rotated around various units including x-ray, CT,MRI, Theatre Radiography, Mobile
Radiography, Emergency and Trauma Imaging. I am competent in undertaking X-ray/C-arm/CT /MRI imaging and I have performed all
kinds of plain and contrast enhanced studies including CT guided bone biopsy,renal angiogram, pulmonary angiogram, etc.Micturating
Cystourethrography (MCU), Retrograde Urethrography (RGU), Intravenous Pyelography (IVP) and Nephrostogram, Fluoroscopy guided
Barium Swallow, Barium Meal, Barium meal follow through(BMFT), Barium Enema And I am responsible for maintaining the
departmental records that includes a register for all modalities, procedure consent forms, incident reports, critical reports, daily checklist
regarding status of the machine and it's calibration, Radiological Personnel protective equipment and its periodical quality assurance.

Through my experiences I have learnt about different modalities such as general X-rays, mobile X-rays , CT . This was an outstanding experience in my radiographic career,
Due to the corona virus pandemic, I have had to work with multiple patients who were affected by the coronavirus pandemic. During the initial days of the pandemic I have worked with a mobile X-ray unit and have taken many chest X- rays of covid patients, which has helped me to excel in my career as an independent radiographer.
From my experience, I have understood that a radiographer works closely with patients by being very supportive and caring by being placid even under medical emergency situations. I have further gained experience working for a leading institute in the field of health care as a radiographer in Kuwait TB hospital, department of radiology, which is well equipped with all the advanced systems. In TB hospital I got an opportunity to acquaint myself with: general x-ray, mobile x-ray, , c arm etc. In general x- ray we have 2 units, wherein I performed: chest x-ray, whole spine x-ray's, abdominal x-ray's, pelvic x ray's and all extremities x-ray's. In mobile x-ray I have carried out x-rays of the requested anatomical regions by the physician.
The wellbeing of the patient is also an important aspect of any radiographer. As a radiographer I have felt that the patient is the most important person in the hospital. Prior to the imaging I always try my best to explain the procedure to the patient. Which helps them to alleviate any anxieties related particular procedure. Furthermore another important part my job is to protect the patient from any unnecessary radiation which I have spent several years perfecting.
Through my experiences in different organizations I have gained strong communication skills, an empathetic nature and the ability to solve problems. I will be determined and diligent on the responsibilities which will be assigned to me, and I hope to give the best of myself to my duties. I am very optimistic about future development in this field and hope I can be a useful addition to your team |
