Two years of experience from 560 beded JCI, NABH accredited multi speciality hospital in verious modalities such as CT, MRI, X RAY (DR & CR) , FLUOROSCOPY, C ARM , DEXA SCAN
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Managing the appointments with a daily intake of 30-70 patients for CT , 20-40 cases for MRI, and x-ray imaging of more than120 patients.
Welcome the patient and introduce my self.
Cross check the patient identity (Date Of Birth , full name, Age & UHID).
Identifying the patient on arrival to radiology department, explaining the examination they are going to undergo and advise them on the instructions to be followed during the examination and duration of the examination.
Patient changes to hospital gown and removes all radio-opaque objects if for the examination.
Empathize and reassure patients who are worried, anxious or reluctant to undergo the procedure by providing thoughtful and constructed responses to their questions. Patient groups will regularly include learning disabilities, those with cancer or dementia.
Plan and priorities own and section workload. Be able to manage the pressures of accommodating emergency/trauma work in addition to planned sessions.
Assess the radiation risk to the patient and ensure it is kept as low as reasonably achievable ALARA principle, and assess any additional risk involved within your modality. Know how to adapt technique accordingly.
Providing radiation protection devices to the patient.
If required, reports related to previous examinations undergone by the patient is collected and kept for reporting cross reference.
If in case the examination crosses its time, the next patient is intimated on the delayed and intimated the time they would be taken in for scan.
Monitor the patient after examination for any allergic reactions.
Scan information are kept confidential from patient and by standers and only Doctors are permitted to share information post scan.
Keeping the department clean and hygiene

In Computed Tomography (CT) perform all routine procedures including special procedures like CT ANGIOGRAM (CORONARY ANGIO, AORTIC ANGIO, PULMONARY ANGIO,BRAIN ANGIO, RENAL ANGIO, PERIPHERAL ANGIO, ABDOMINAL ANGIO) , VENOGRAM , UROGRAM , ENTEROGRAPHY etc . Also experienced in "INTERVENSTIONAL" Procedures like BIOPSY, FNAC , R F ABLATION , PIGTAIL INSERTION etc. Interested in learning new techniques and also concerened about radiation protection and patient sefety too.
Equipment handled : 128 SLICE PHILIPS INGENUITY CORE CT SCANNER, GE BRIGHT SPEED 16 SLICE CT SCANNER
In MRI perform routine cases ( BRAIN, SPINE , EXTREMITIES, ABDOMEN , PELVIS etc)
Equipment handled : PHILIPS 3T INGINA, SIEMENS 1.5 T MAGNATOM-AVANTO
FLUOROSCOPY : Experienced in doing fluoroscopic procedures such as BARIUM STUDIES , MCU, RGU and also assist with endoscopic procedures and ERCP.
Equipment handled : SIEMENS FLUOROCOMPACT MULTIX SELECT DR
MAMMOGRAPHY : Experienced in doing Mammographic examinations, special procedures like Stereotactic biopsy, VAB

CATH LAB: Assist in neuro cathlab for all diagnostic and interventional procedures like routine diagnostic examination
